Fidèle à sa vision de partager la science, IOS sera actif à la première grande conférence RFG sur les ressources. Conjointement organisée par l'Association géologique du Canada (GAC), l'Association minéralogique du Canada (MAC), l'Institut canadien des Mines et de la Métallurgie (CIM), la Fédération Canadienne des Sciences de la Terre (FCST), l'Union Internationale des sciences géologiques (IUGS), la Fondation Canadienne de la Géologie (CGF) et le Conseil National de la Recherche du Canada (CNRC), ce congrès se veut de créer la synergie de tous les spécialistes des ressources minérales, tant l'industrie que la société civile.
