Hypercube © and Xplor: At the confluence of rare events

By IOS team, September 29, 2015

Just as we can't predict when the flipped coin will fall on its rim, mineral occurrences are rare and stubbornly defy statistics and predictions... An event as rare and precious as the AEMQ's Xplor congress!

Prediction of mineral occurrences from heterogeneous geo-data remains the “Holy Grail” of mineral exploration! Come and learn about Hypercube © capabilities at Xplor 2015, at Place Bonaventure, Montreal, next October 7 and 8. With its partner, BearingPoint business solution group, IOS invites you to learn more about the rare event prediction algorithms used by Hypercube ©. Our project geologist, Mr Clément Dombrowski, will be present to make a presentation, answer your questions, and even do a live demo of database interrogation.

Since a few months, IOS added Hypercube © to its arsenal to interpret geochemical surveys in reluctant environment. Numbers of pilot tests were made in the Northern Abitibi clay belt and the Detour Lake trend. This environment, dominated by endless swamps and bogs, is notorious for being challenging for the exploration geologist. The thick, impermeable, salty and limy environment hinders with most exploration methods, and render geochemical subtle signal. Hypercube © predicted rules which proved to be as effective as unintuitive, out of reach of the human mind because it is controlled by more than 70 variables. Geochemistry is not only a matter of bagging dirt!

Come visit our booths (#727 and 826), we got a lot to show, strategically located between Pub Explo and Zone Québec. And for the gadget lovers, we will have the Kaskoo on display...

Looking forward to seeing you there!
